Hi Ewok.

Umm all over the place, IGA does it but they dont know it lol, i go to a little lotto stall he put the effort to find out how to do it. Go to http://www.ukash.com/au/en/where-to-get.aspx and type your location.

BUT, you need to convert it to GBP or USD (your choice, i find GBP if best value) and i think theres a small conversion fee and to do this you need to mkae an account which is free. O heres a tip. Paste your codes in a word doc after converting because if you close the window your moneys (code) is gone! I did this :( but you can get it back by filing a support case and they gave me a new code. :) So its a good safe way to deposit if you dont have a credit card.

Heya Dukem,

Paladin's fairly good value, but you may have trouble getting hold of one part - the thigh guards I think - they're reasonably rare.

Thing with unlimited armour is that what you pay for the armour you may be able to get back again when you sell it, so paying more upfront for a different armour may not be a waste of money if you can get that for it again when you're ready to upgrade.

Eg buy a suit of shadow a few years back and now it's doubled or tripled in value.

Alternatively you could look at a Limited armour set. If you go CRAFTED limited, you know that when a piece breaks you can come straight back to our shop to buy the next one.

Looking at the CRAFTED armour range, the armours that are in roughly the same ballpark as Paladin, which would be worth taking a look at, are:

Predator (L)
Rascal (L)
Zombie (L)
Ghost

There are of course others such as Dragon, Sema, Serum and so on which are more expensive, and unfortunately we don't make Ghost, so if you decided on that you'd need to look elsewhere for it.

I'd say though that there's no harm collecting multiple sets, because different creatures require different armours. Keep going with the Paladin - a full set's not that easy to come by - but have a look around at what else you can get. Predator (L) and Rascal (L) are both very popular sellers for us so have a good look at them. Pricing is on our website.

Yer i was looking at that and Predator looks good. But it costs heaps :(.

Though i was looking at Paladin and a set in TT price will cost 240 peds. With mark up its about 550! but with out theighs its about 300 ped. Still to much for me.

Rascal tt is 60 ped and with your mark up its. 91 peds 1/3 or price or 1/5 with theighs. So good value but a little lower on stats.

Zombies 458 which is more than my total value. LOL

Predator cots 216 TT and from you guys its. 304 ped sam price as paladin with out theighs. But Pred looks so cool! So i think i should sell my paladin and try get some pred. But before i do that which is going to be cheaper to use? Tips on that please. Comparing Durbality its pred but i guess theres more than jsut that.

So preds not that highly priced

PS: I do like the range Paladin has tho.
PPS: I was looking at Mark up and its %110 thats %30 low than your mark up why is this?

Hey mate,

Yep you're right on all counts, seems like you've done some good research.

Regarding Predator's protection, it's quite difficult to be exact (or even approximate!) until you're comparing apples with apples.

In Entropia Forum there's some discussion about the exact mathematics behind it, but as a general rule of thumb Limited armour lasts up to 25% longer than unlimited armour. That is, in general, when it takes a hit it decays up to 20% less. You can see that sort of thing more exactly when you compare for example Ghost to Ghost (L), Zombie to Zombie (L), that kind of thing. Paladin vs Predator (L) is much less exact. But suffice it to say, it'll last a noticeable amount longer :)

The efficiency of an armour also massively comes down to how over- or under-protected you are on the particular mob you're taking on. The higher the tt value of an armour, and the higher the damage it can absorb, the higher its minimum decay per hit. So Pixie vs a Daikiba will decay FAR less than Shadow vs a Daikiba, for example.

As your Paladin decays, being an unlimited armour, the amount it protects you goes down accordingly. So when its worth half of its full TT value, then its protection is literally halved. So in general you'll want to repair it after each hunt, or every half an hour to hour while hunting too.

Limited armour on the other hand offers full protection right down until it breaks. So you only need to take action when it gets to 3% of full TT. The solution at that point is simply to walk back into our shop and buy another piece.

As for pricing, the figures you can see for market history is purely auction history. If you look in auction at these pieces, a lot of the time they've got quite a low TT value - sometimes when peoples' L armour is getting low they try to get a small markup for it in auction rather than waiting till it gets to 3% and only being able to get TT for it. So you can pick up quite low TT value L armour in auction. It's a bit different with a full TT piece though.

Also, general sales prices in auction (aside from being skewed by the low-TT "flog it before it breaks" phenomenon) are based more on supply and demand than anything else. We do not price our armour this way.

We calculate all our prices based on what it actually costs to craft it. Our philosophy is that our service to the community gives value, and that if our customers find that service valuable enough then they'll be happy buying our armour - I think that must be what brings people back for our Predator L and Rascal L so much.

We offer the ability to get FULL TT armour, a full suit in one hit without having to trawl the auction, rely on being able to come back and get it again when it breaks, know that you'll actually be able to get it rather than hoping there's some around, and also prices that fluctuate based on the market values of the materials we need to make it. We even have a monthly pricing report that details the price changes we make (in the news feed on the website).

So, you may even find that for a very small amount you can get some low TT pieces of Predator in auction that won't last very long, but at least would get you started. Then when the first piece breaks, you could come to one of our shops to replace it with a full TT piece, and keep going that way. Alternatively, as you say, you could go with the whole suit in one hit. It's entirely up to you.

Sometimes our prices are lower than auction, sometimes higher. We don't concentrate on that - we simply concentrate on keeping track of our costs and reflecting that in the price so that it's fair for everyone.

Hope that answers the question! Let me know if you still need a hand!
